engine modifications

This shot of the left (i.e., shifter) side of the engine shows several of my favorite bolt-ons.   First, note the Rattlebars Tube Toppers.  Easy to install and a great styling bang for the buck.  Also shown is KuryAykn’s intake valance cover.  This piece looks as if it should have been there from the factory!  Not quite visible are the Pro One cam covers.  If a VRCC logo is more your cup of tea, LaMonster’s cam covers are available for only a few bucks more.

Also visible is the stainless braid over the choke cable that spans the two carb banks.  This piece of braid is provided with Rattlebars' Top Hose Kit.  The best way to do this is the remove the linkage from the bike.  To remove, take off the linkage cover plates.  Then, you will see that it is just a matter of releasing some 10mm retaining nuts.  The entire linkage lifts right off.

Other details include Rattlebars chrome engine hangars, Spectre bolt caps, and Allen Snap Caps on the intake valances, cam covers, fuel switch hole, and the carb stay holes.

This photo of the right (i.e., brake) side of the engine shows the Two Brothers Racing oil temperature gauge dipstick, Drag Specialties chrome oil filler cap, and Pro One radiator cap cover (I wish I would have gotten the Pro One oil filler cap; it is much nicer).  This shot also shows the Allen Snap Caps on the valve cover bolts and the Rattlebars top radiator hose kit.

Finally, this front shot shows the Pro One billet oil filter cover and Rattlebars bottom radiator hose kit.
