IAT data

Here is a little info that I gleaned from our Norcal Dyno Day.

First, on my truck, I have a temp gauge sender in the IC reservoir. I am running dual OE Heat Exchangers in series.

I am running an Apten ported Eaton, net 15 1/2 psi @ 73 F. We datalogged the IAT-2 temp (almost every truck, second pull) my IAT-2 temp reached 119 F. My IC fluid was at 105 F at the start of the pull and rose to 109 F after the pull. With the pump and H/E fans running, engine idling, it typically takes less than two minutes for the reservoir to cool back down. Don't know if this data is of any value to anybody but me.

We datalogged the IAT-2 on five different roots supercharger setups and also a Procharger (no IAT reading). FYI, here are the numbers.

Stock Eaton @ 12 psi 125 F
Stock Eaton @ 12 psi 127 F
Apten ported Eaton @ 15.5 psi 119 F
Apten ported Eaton @ 17 psi 129 F
Apten ported Eaton @ 15 psi 117 F
Magnum Powers @ 18 psi 136 F
Kenne Bell @ 13 psi 135 F
Kenne Bell @ 13 psi 126 F
Kenne Bell @ 15 psi 144 F
Works @ 17 psi 145 F
Procharger @ 10.5 psi maybe 85 F (barely warm to the touch)

Make of it what you will.
