black interior conversion

In progress a/o September 2008

I always hated the gray interior -- both the color and the way that there were so many different shades of gray with random black panels.

So I decided to rip out the entire interior, and make it the way that I think Ford should have.  Details on the plastic prep and painting are here.

sound control: 1-2 layers RAAMmat + 1/4" closed-cell foam.  Details here.
carpet: stockinteriors.com "ultra plush" w/mass backed option.  Details here.
console: 97-02 Expedition console (narrow top).  Parts list here.  Wiring details here.
seats: Corbeau TRS (wide version).  Black leather w/microsuede inserts.  Matching leather to door and center console armrests.  Matching microsuede to headliner, rear panel, and door inserts.  Power lumbar.
seat tracks:   Lincoln Navigator 6-way power seat tracks.  Details here.
seat belts: Lincoln Blackwood.  Details here.
racing harnesses: [in progress]
steering wheel: Stock wheel wrapped in black Alcantara by Dallas Steering Wheel.
sound system: 2007 Mercury Mariner CD6, Thunderform w/350 watt amp.  Details here.

This was a monumentally time consuming and expensive task.  My truck was in the garage for several months.  Here are some in-progress photos.
