motorcycle hauling

Hauling a 700 pound bike in a lowered truck is a generally bad idea.  The rear axle is about an inch off the bump stops.  But it looks cool.

The bike goes into the bed using a 3-piece ramp setup which is so wide you can walk the bike up.

The real trick piece is the LA Chock, which grabs the front tire as you go forward.  You can then just get off the bike and it will stand up on its own.

The  ramps will barely fit in the bed with the  tailgate closed if turned diagonally.  The aluminum channel (used to take the weight off of the tailgate) fits with no problem.  The notch in the end of the channel is to allow the ramps to sit flush on the edge of the tailgate.  The taper is just to make sure that no hard bits drag on the way up.

The total height is about 6'3".
